In this performance titled 'Disco Niqabi', the artist creates an alter ego drawing inspiration from the film ‘The Girl who Walks Home Alone at Night’ by Ana Lily Amirpour, @shirin_neshat ‘Women of Allah’ series, the Women revolutionaries in the Algerian independence struggle, Spy Films, the Exploitation Films of the 70’s and importantly the iconic Women of the Disco era.
